About Christine Morano
I am a personal injury lawyer with extensive experience representing older adults and their families in cases against nursing homes and retirement homes. I am committed to getting justice for those most vulnerable, who are dependent on these facilities for their care needs. In addition to my elder law practice, I represent plaintiffs in a wide range of personal injury matters, including car accidents and slip and falls. I take pride in being direct with my clients while approaching all of my cases with compassion.
Prior to co-founding Advocai LLP, I was a lawyer at the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly where I represented patients in hospital and residents in long-term care and retirement homes.
Prior to attending law school, I worked in an administrative position at a downtown law firm and later moved onto the role of law clerk. My experience has taught me the importance of collaboration and teamwork when it comes to litigating personal injury cases.
I received my J.D. from the University of Toronto law in 2015 and a Masters in philosophy from McMaster University in 2011.
I have appeared at the Ontario Superior Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal and have been a guest speaker at the Osgoode Certificate in Elder Law program. I am also a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
